monday Robert, Eric, and I went to old town Pasadena so they can do free portraits for people. I tagged along to walk around and put my nikon to use. Eventually I put my nikon away because I think it was warding off people. Also the fact that robert will just yell at you, “Can we draw you?”

WatchBlood Orange - Forget It (live from MTV)
So we were attacked by a mystery gift giver late late last night! There were 2 packages, addressed to me and Nellie (I should’ve taken a picture before opening, but was too excited). Both were wrapped in a faux-wood wallpaper/laminate, but with no indication of whom it was from. This was what I got:

the fall of a leaf is a whisper to the living
It’s been a while since I’ve finished a drawing, so I’m super stoked about this piece. Titled “whisper,” it’s a mixture of inks, acrylic, coffee and charcoal.
It got a little wrinkled (which explains the blurred areas) because I didn’t prime the paper correctly. The nature of the paper causes it to absorb water very quickly, so I also don’t get...
